Having started this business servicing contractor tools, I think it’s safe to say we know our way around chisels, handsaws, drill bits, saw blades (hss and carbide), planer knives, etc.

Then the building boom dropped off dramatically and we switched gears to include mobile sharpening.
With that change we have the capability to do a plethora of home cutting tools. This includes knives(straight and serrated), scissors(fabric, garden, kitchen,  utility and paper), garden tools(hedge trimmers, rose pruners, grass shears, lawn mowers and tree loppers) and all the ‘contractor’ tools in the garage.

With our ability to do and rebuild serrated knives as well as a highly polished straight edged knife, we have seen over and over our restaurant, deli and catering clients going from every month to over 2 and 3 months between sharpening. We now offer meat slicer blade sharpening on site. We have invented a tool to do meat slicer blades quickly and efficiently right at the site, so your machine is not down longer than necessary. We also offer a discount for repeat customers.

Living on the central coast of CA has its own quirk’s where metal is concerned. With the moist sea air that old nemesis RUST is always on the prowl. We do our utmost to eradicate and prevent further rust. Fabric and Upholstery shears, thread cutters, etc.  are notorious for collecting rust no matter where they are. When necessary we take the shear apart and remove the rust and put a high polish on. Highly polished metal resists rust and helps keep the tools working properly.

Ranching is paramount to the central coast. There are many things on the ranch that needs periodic sharpening (hoes, shovels, hoof trimmers, machetes, scythes, etc). We also understand that the rancher often prefers to do that sort of thing themselves. That’s great, but sometimes it’s a good idea to have us come in and with specialized tools get in those nooks and crannies you can’t reach. What’s more convenient than mobile sharpening service right at the barn?
