Bladerunner is a complete mobile service.

Since 1983 Bladerunner has been sharpening knives, scissors, saw blades, handsaws, garden tools, etc.
For the first 10 yrs we sharpened mostly contractor tools and a pick up and delivery service worked the best. Then with the economy tanking in the early ‘90’s we decided to go mobile and sharpen on the spot.
We come to you, simply call or e-mail us and we will schedule you in on one of our ‘By Appointment’ days. If that does not work for you, we are currently set up at numerous locations throughout SLO Co(see ‘ Locations’ page for details).
Bladerunner Tool Sharpening is now capable of doing meat slicer blades on site. Restaurants, caterers and deli’s enjoy the convenience of minimal downtime on their machine.
We are also the premier serrated knife experts. We have developed a way to rebuild the serrations on most any knife. Often we hear the expression, ‘Better than new’.
When we sharpen garden tools we don’t just sharpen the edge. We take the tool completely apart, clean it, sharpen it, lube it, reconstruct it and adjust it.
About the only things that we must take back to our shop are circular saw blades and handsaws. These require large tools and jigs that will not fit our truck. In this case we will pickup one week and return the next.
We consider ourselves the original recyclers and re-purposer. Sharpening tools as opposed to throwing away and purchasing new is recycling. Making cutting tools out of thrown away metal (files, springs, saw blades, etc.) is re purposing.
For my part as a re-purposer, I take old worn out files and other tools, and turn them into knives and other cutting tools. I am calling my knife production end of the business, ‘ROA Knives (Rick Otto Albers Knives)’. Click on ‘ ROA Knives’ page for more details.
